The Kimberley Land Council (KLC) has signed off on an in-principle agreement to develop a liquefied natural gas (LNG) precinct near Broome.

Negotiations over the State Government’s plans for a liquefied natural gas processing hub to be built at James Price Point in the Kimberley have hit an 11th-hour snag after Aboriginal representatives walked out of a meeting.

LOW crude oil prices are likely to sap oil and gas company profits this year, casting a shadow over the viability of large-scale projects earmarked to drive growth.
